Down And Away Last month I reviewed a split CD with the two Swedish street punk bands Subwaste and Tommy Gustafsson & the Idiots released on this label, and here's Down and Away - another Swedish band playing a similar style. It seems Warbird Entertainment has developed a taste for the punk rock sounds of the streets from up here. Unfortunately it's not a enthusiasm I can say I share with the label. Sure, there are times when this music is good, and my review of the split mentioned above stated just that, but it can't be helped that there's a really thin line between what's good and what's boring when it comes to this kind of music. This band is unfortunately very boring in my ears, and I've given this CD more than one chance to prove me wrong. I did find a few catchy riffs and half-decent songs, but it's all too repetitive and it falls flat. After I've heard one track I've pretty much heard them all, and that's not really in favour of the band. Especially not since this CD compile tracks from several different releases between 2001 and 2006. Not for me, but if you like a band like Voice of A Generation you might like this as well. Maybe.
