Let Me Out "I Think I Can..." LP/CD

WBE003Sweden’s LET ME OUT is a hardcore band that’s been on my radar for well more than a year now. They first caught my attention with their split CD with FIRST CUT on Japan’s Akashic Records, which turned out to be one of 2008’s most underrated youth crew ventures. Given Sweden’s track record for producing forward-thinking, and musically rock solid hardcore bands for many years now, LET ME OUT’s potential to deliver was running high, and their debut full-length, I Think I Can, is far from a let down.

Stylistically, LET ME OUT are all over the place – drawing equally from legendary countrymen 59 TIMES THE PAIN (before they became RANCID-lite) as well as DAG NASTY, and matching the melodic fervor of the hyperactive 7 SECONDS. I Think I Can runs fast. Its 14 songs conclude in a blurring 24 minutes, and despite a barrage of tempo changes, sing-alongs, breakdowns, and a few two-step dance parts, LET ME OUT never back off on the pedal. - Jordan, Pastepunk.com
